巴南体育场曾经是重庆市巴南区的重要地标之一，但是后来被闲置。这导致体育场以及周边区域空间品质的恶化。该项目翻新重建的初衷，就是让体育场及其周边场所重新成为巴南区市民生活和活动的中心。

 Banan Stadium, once a prominent landmark in Chongqing’s Banan District, was left unused for years, leading to a decline in the quality of both the stadium and its surrounding spaces. This renovation project seeks to restore the stadium and its environment as a vibrant hub for community life and activity, reestablishing its significance in the daily lives of Banan’s residents.

设计面临的主要挑战是，在确保不改变体育场主体结构的情况下，实现将地标性建筑尺度与街区生活尺度相结合；既满足当下相互矛盾又充满活力的需求，又要保留住重庆巴南这一重要建筑的历史特征。

The primary challenge was maintaining the stadium’s structural integrity while integrating the scale of a civic landmark with the finer, more human scale of urban life. The design seeks to meet these conflicting demands, addressing contemporary requirements while preserving the historical characteristics of this important structure.

同时作为整个区域的城市设计师，我们在体育场、体育馆之间创建了一条主要的步行街。以此为出发点，设计上首要的反馈是将建筑物外围切割为两部分：东南侧面向步行街部分回应建筑的标志性与生活性需求，西北侧回应对建筑物历史价值的保留。

 As part of the broader urban design strategy, a pedestrian street was introduced to connect the stadium and the nearby gymnasium. This street serves as the basis for the spatial organization, dividing the stadium's perimeter into two distinct zones. On the southeast side, the focus is on public activity and commercial integration, while the northwest side emphasizes the preservation of the original structure’s historical value.

在东南侧，立面分为两部分。上部使用穿孔铝板表皮包裹体育场，形成大尺度特点，并以便放置体育场标牌，和隐藏设备管道。 东南角的铝板表皮尽可能抬高，使之成为体育场建筑形象的视觉焦点。下部商业和零售空间被切割成若干小块，一方面满足商业空间的小尺度需求，另一方面为体育场分离出公共交通和疏散出入口。整个东南侧附加部分结构独立于体育场原有结构，附加空间与内部原有空间相互衔接，构成一个完整的多功能性商业空间。

On the southeast façade, the design articulates two layers. The upper portion is enclosed with perforated aluminum panels creating a large-scale feature that also accommodates signage for the stadium while concealing utility pipes. The aluminum panels are elevated at the southeast corner to establish this area as the visual focal point of the stadium The lower portion comprises commercial and retail spaces divided into smaller segments, which meet the small-scale needs of commercial spaces and separate the stadium’s entrances for public transit and evacuation. The added structure on the southeast side is independent of the stadium’s original structure yet spatially integrated to form a multifunctional commercial extension.

商业部分的首层设计为沿主街商业。二楼添加了走廊作为公共交通空间，联通二楼的商业部分。彩色金属盒子作为商业空间部分引人注目的元素，区分出了不同的店面空间，并设置广告牌放置位置。每个彩色盒子的形体都切割出倾角，在面向街道方向形成倾斜的镜面不锈钢镜，成为一个与行人互动的装置。

 The ground floor of the commercial section is designed for retail along the main pedestrian street, while a second-floor corridor provides a public passage that links the upper-level commercial spaces. Vibrant metallic boxes, incorporated as a key design element, delineate individual storefronts and provide designated areas for signage. The tilted surfaces of these boxes finished in polished stainless steel, form reflective installations that engage pedestrians, creating moments of interaction and visual intrigue.

体育场西北侧，在保留原有主体结构的基础上尽可能做最小程度的翻新：清理原有的墙面，重新涂刷深灰色的外墙涂料；新的凸窗用来替换原有老旧的窗户，设备管道都被允许外露。

 The northwest side adopts a more restrained approach, focusing on minimal intervention to preserve the original structure. The existing walls are cleaned and repainted in dark gray, outdated windows are replaced with new bay windows, and utility pipes are exposed to minimize intervention of the original building.

在完成外部的修复和翻新之后，我们对场内设施进行了粉刷，座椅换新等整理修复工作。建筑内部空间除了根据新的功能要求配备设备设施以外，则保持开放的状态，等待未来的商户根据各自不同需求进行独立设计。

 Inside the stadium, updates focused on essential renovations, including repainting, seating replacements, and repairs. While core facilities were modernized to meet functional requirements, much of the interior remains open and adaptable, allowing future tenants the flexibility to customize spaces according to their specific needs.

项目完工以后，体育场的功能被重新激活。随着商户的陆续入驻，逐渐形成了具有生活气息的商业步行街。镜面不锈钢装置吸引着路人驻足。巴南体育场的形象正在重塑，她也重新成为巴南地区重要的生活场所。

 Following the completion of the project, the stadium’s functions were revitalized. The gradual influx of tenants has transformed the area into a vibrant commercial pedestrian zone. The reflective stainless-steel installations draw the attention of passersby, encouraging interaction and adding a playful element to the streetscape. The identity of Banan Stadium is being redefined, reclaiming its role as a vital gathering place for the community.

本项目的出发点关注于建筑未来的具体使用，和人们在空间中发生的行为。建筑空间作为一种承载着诸如社区体育、餐饮、购物、工作、培训、表演等多样化的活动及生活方式的场所而存在。以此为出发点，通常体育建筑完整的大尺度的身份特征，被重新定义为具有不同尺度、不同形式的多重特性：不同的空间尺度呼应不同的建筑功能；不同的建筑形式呼应未来的具体使用和设施的需要；最后，不锈钢装置为路人制造了小小的惊喜。

The design prioritizes the stadium’s future adaptability and its role as a platform for diverse activities that will take place within its spaces. The architectural space is envisioned as a platform that supports a diverse range of activities and lifestyles, including community sports, dining, shopping, work, training, and performances. From this perspective, the typically large-scale identity of sports architecture has been redefined with multiple characteristics of varying scales and forms: different spatial scales correspond to different building functions; various architectural forms are adapted to meet the specific needs of future uses and facilities; And, finally, the stainless-steel installations create moments of surprise and delight for passersby.
